Departamento Temporal de los Objetos
Departamento Temporal de los Objetos (est. 2019, Bogotá) is a Colombian research and curatorial project working to rescue and preserve post-1950 local design knowledge, focusing on sustainable material culture and the domestic sphere. Founded by curator and architect Liliana Andrade, they source important prototypes by key modern and contemporary artists and designers, ensuring their place in cultural memory by helping make them available to the public– often for the first time, due to a scarcity of resources and production capabilities in the region. They have established collaborations with landmark figures in 20th Colombian culture, such as Jaime Gutiérrez Lega, Jacques Mosseri, Mariana Vieira, and Luis Roldán, among others.
