Born and raised in Rosario, Argentina, Ainelén Bertotti Burket’s young practice is already difficult to summarize in a few words. Working across sculpture, installation, urban intervention, carpentry, performance, and fashion, all of Bertotti Burket’s wide-ranging projects share an interest in spatial and bodily interventions. She is interested in learning how emotional and sensual connections can enhance our experience of everyday material reality. Her work in jewelry and fashion playfully seeks out both the subconscious and the somatic, drawing out connections between bodies, identities, memories, and desires. Bertotti Burket has exhibited across Argentina and recently completed the URRA artist residency in Buenos Aires.
