Mateo López is a Colombian artist whose work incorporates drawing, architecture, cartography, and performance to explore themes of chance, time, journeys, and the infinite definitions of progress. In the 2000s he spent two years riding a Vespa scooter along 1,300 miles of abandoned train tracks across Colombia, recording objects he encountered in detailed drawings. The large-scale installation that resulted from that journey is owned by the Museum of Modern Art in New York: titled Travel without Movement, it includes his drawings along with objects he picked up along the way, and others he reconstructed with paper.

The limited edition artist book for sale at THE MUST includes 54 images based on original drawings, and comes in a handmade case designed by López
